Aftersales Manager
LOCATION: Chapel-en-le-Frith.
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive rates of pay.
WORKING HOURS: (Core hours) 35hrs per week. Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.00 (Must be flexible to work additional hours as business requires)
THE ROLE: A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for an Aftersales Manager to join Street Crane. The Aftersales Manager will be responsible for the management of the spares department and warranties on all cranes, hoists and crane kits/components sold in the UK and Export.
Key Tasks
- Formulate new spares department policies and procedures to achieve maximum increased revenue and profitability through promotion & sales.
- Liaise with Operations team to set spares.
- Liaise with potential suppliers of proprietary parts and sub contractors for the manufacture of obsolete parts stocks at a level commensurate with profit requirements and customer satisfaction.
- Manage spares stock levels in UK & overseas facilities.
- Monitor spares sales to key export dealers and set suitable spares stock & recommended spares packages for project supply.
- Measure true stock turn and keep obsolete stock to a minimum.
- Liaise with potential suppliers of proprietary parts and sub contractors for the manufacture of obsolete parts.
- Develop robust warranty policies and procedures that satisfy company & client requirements globally.
- Monitor warranty claims submissions, credit account applications and credit facilities.
- Manage warranty claims globally, ensuring issues are dealt with promptly and by the correct person.
- Support sales department with spares technical support & project pricing.
- Liaison with all other key company departments – technical, operations, accounts.
- Manage members of spares department staff.
- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a customer facing role, ideally within a heavy industry manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of sales and manufacturing processes.
- Proven communications skills and ability to resolve customer issues.
- Understanding of engineered products and manufacturing will be an advantage.
